Freedom Ride June 6, 2009

How the Ride Works

The event is similar to a poker run in that it has a start, a finish, and checkpoints along the designated route.
We are blessed to have two fine motorcycle dealerships, The Motorcycle Stop and Stumpy's Yamaha,
who have generously supported this event.  Please consider them when you make your next purchase.
Our starting point is The Motorcycle Stop on Hwy 35 in Neptune.  It is just North of the intersection of Rt. 33
and 35.  Upon check in to the starting point, the participant will get a map and a tour card with all of the
checkpoints listed. The ride is a self guided tour, so people can go at their own pace and ride as safely
as possible. You can start the ride anytime between 12:00 noon and 2:00 PM.  Absolutely no tour cards
will be issued after 2:00 PM.  Beginning at the starting point, the participant will get a special stamp at each
checkpoint, proving that he/she actually showed up at given checkpoint.

At the end of the ride, the participant will hand in their card and one ticket will be added to the drawing
for every checkpoint that was validated on the tour card. At 5:45 the winning ticket will be drawn for the
2007 Suzuki C50 Boulevard. Drawings for other door prizes will happen throughout the afternoon.
Winners tickets will be returned to pot, not to minimize chances of winning the bike.

The ride will end in the parking lot of Cross Point Church in Farmingdale.  A special 20 minute dedication
will be given inside the church at 5:15.  This is optional, but all of those who attend will be given an extra
ticket for the bike drawing.

From approximately 3:00 to 6:00 the outside grounds of Cross Point Baptist Church will serve as the
host for the participants of this event.  There will be merchandise vendors, food vendors, live bands
and individual music performances.
